Complete Sleeping Beauty and Claim Your Reward
Complete Sleeping Beauty by collecting the prayer at the Cursed Hollow shrine, defeating the miniboss for the Headman’s Key, and returning to the locked house to use the upstairs spinning wheel. Both final choices award a Distilled Transmutation Material, although the actions needed to finish and the Catalyst payout differ.
Start at Cursed Hollow’s Village Church
Sleeping Beauty is in Cursed Hollow during Chapter 6: Punishment. Use the Village Church Lantern as your starting point and follow the village route toward the large tree. The quest begins when you collect Headman’s Daughter’s Prayer from the ground at the shrine reached through the fence detour.
Follow the Route From the Shrine to the Spinning Wheel
Quest spoiler warning: the walkthrough below includes the final decision and what happens to the headman’s daughter.
- Follow the village path from Cursed Hollow > Village Church until you reach the large tree. This is the landmark for the turn toward the quest’s starting shrine.
- Take the route to the right of the tree and crouch beneath the fence to enter the side path.
- Follow this path through the building and down to the small island with the shrine. The prayer you need is lying on the ground.
- Pick up Headman’s Daughter’s Prayer to start Sleeping Beauty.
- Cross the lake using the planks to reach the next house, where the route continues toward the headman.
- Defeat the miniboss in the building’s second room to obtain the Headman’s Key. You need this key for the locked house back in the main area.
- Follow the path back to the main village area to reach the house that the Headman’s Key opens.
- Unlock the house door with the Headman’s Key so you can enter the building.
- Go up to the second floor to reach the table note and spinning wheel.
- Pick up the note on the table to the right before moving on to the spinning wheel.
- Interact with the spinning wheel to reach the choice between letting the girl sleep and waking her.
- Choose Let Her Sleep or Wake her up. Letting her sleep completes the quest immediately; waking her causes her to become a monster.
- If you chose Wake her up, defeat the monster to finish that outcome and receive its reward.
Let Her Sleep or Wake Her Up: Rewards
| Choice | Outcome and Reward |
|---|---|
| Choose Let Her Sleep | Complete the quest immediately and receive a Distilled Transmutation Material and 2,000 Catalysts. |
| Choose Wake her up | The girl becomes a monster you must defeat. Completing this outcome awards a Distilled Transmutation Material and 3,000 Catalysts. |
Let her sleep if you want the immediate completion and material without the final fight. Wake her if you want the larger Catalyst payout and are prepared to fight. Either choice gives you the material, so you can make the story decision you prefer without losing that item.
Missing Letters, Locked Doors and Unfinished Progress
If a quest letter is invisible, update the game and revisit its location. A Sleeping Beauty fix addressed a letter visibility problem. Side-quest fixes require returning to the relevant location to start or complete the quest; they do not automatically resolve the entry in your quest log.
If the house remains locked, check that you have defeated the miniboss and obtained the Headman’s Key. Then return to the main area and use the key on the house door. Once upstairs, follow the interaction order: collect the table note, then use the spinning wheel.
Use the Material for Transmutation Upgrades
The Distilled Transmutation Material contributes toward upgrading your Transmutations at Louis’s Laboratoire. A level 4 upgrade requires 2 Distilled Transmutation Material. Sleeping Beauty has no dedicated quest achievement; Transmutation Artifex instead requires upgrading a Transmutation to its maximum level.
Return for Sleeping Beauty Later
- Can I complete Sleeping Beauty after the story?
- Yes. Sleeping Beauty can be started and completed after the story. Return to Cursed Hollow > Village Church and follow the route beside the large tree to the shrine if you missed the prayer earlier.
